What is maintenance? What does it cover?

The term maintenance is actually defined as your living expenses while you're on land after you have some type of an injury or illness in the service of the vessel. And what this means is your rent, your electricity, your groceries, your company has to pay you enough maintenance where you can pay your monthly bills on land just like they were doing for you when you worked on the vessel.

So, if you have any questions about what's included or not included in a maintenance amount, call our office, we can help you. The amount that you get for maintenance is very important. It should be enough for you to live on each month.
