What does your company owe you under the Jones Act?

The Jones Act is a federal statute that has several rules that apply directly to your employer. Your employer has to properly supervise you. Your employer has to give you all the equipment you need to do your job right. Your employer has to give you the proper training to do your job and your employer has to make sure that you know what you’re doing while you’re out there, supervise you and give you the equipment all at once. Under the Jones Act there’s a general rule that says your employer has to give you a safe place to work. That is literally the language in the Jones Act.

If there was anything unsafe about your workplace that caused your injury you have a claim under the Jones Act. Email us, get our free book, read about your rights or phone us to personally discuss your case with you.
