Omega Protein Sandy Point and Eurus London Collide in Gulf of Mexico Off New Orleans

The fishing vessel Sandy Point owned and operated by Omega Protein has collided with the Eurus London, a much larger 660 foot ship. The Associated Press reports that 3 members of the Omega Protein vessel are missing. The Coast Guard is conducting a full investigation. The article is available here for more informatoin.

Our office has handled many cases against Omega Protein. It is critical that these crewmembers and their families investigate if the vessel was equiped with proper radar and navigational charts. While reports appear to suggest the larger vessel collided with the Omega Protein Sandy Point vessel in the wreck, a thorough investigation of the Sandy Point is also necessary.
