How long do you have to file a maritime Jones Act work related hearing loss claim?

How long does a person have to file a hearing loss case if you’ve worked in a maritime environment? That’s a question that many of our potential clients ask us. Well, I’m going to tell you that usually the time period begins to run when you have a very specific, but a simple test, which actually determines that you suffered noise induced hearing loss which mean you are around loud equipment offshore or on a vessel. Generally you’re going to have a minimum of at least a year from that test, probably three years, to file suit. What you want to do though is call our office, we can discuss the time period specific to your situation for when you need to file your hearing loss case related to a maritime environment.
